This tried and true recipe has been with us from the very beginning, and we know that you’ll love it just as much as we do!
In just a few simple steps you’ll be baking like a pro! And the best part? This recipe is perfect to make with your kids. Little hands are just the right size for rolling up balls of cookie dough and pressing them onto the cookie sheets. Your kids will love these cookies even more once they’ve had a hand in making them.
Each Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix kit comes with enough ingredients to make 24-28 delicious chocolate chip cookies.
1 Bag Chocolate Chip Cookie Flour Mix
1 Bag Ground Flaxseed

Stand Mixer /Hand Mixer (paddle attachment)

Parchment Paper
Fork or Whisk
Needed Ingredients
Sugar (C&H brand)
Light Brown Sugar (C&H brand)
Vanilla Extract
Margarine (Soy Free Earth Balance)
Water (Cold)
Water (Hot)
Chocolate Chips (Enjoy Life)
White Rice Flour, Corn Starch, Brown Rice Flour, Sorghum, Baking Powder (corn starch, sodium bicarbonate, sodium aluminum sulfate, monocalcium phosphate), Baking Soda, Salt, Xanthan Gum
Step 1: Mix Your Cookie Dough
Preheat the Oven
Regular oven: 325°F
Convection oven: 310°F
Make the Flax Mixture
Sprinkle the included ground flaxseed over hot water.
Mix thoroughly with a fork or whisk.
Set aside to thicken.
Cream the Base
In a mixing bowl, combine:
• Light brown sugar
• Granulated sugar
• Vanilla
• Margarine
Mix on low speed for 1 minute, then increase to medium speed until fully combined (but not fluffy).
Add the Flax Mixture
Add thickened flax/water blend to the bowl.
Mix on medium speed for 1 minute until fully incorporated.
Add the Flour Mix
Pour in the provided flour blend and mix slowly until fully combined.
Increase to medium speed and mix for 2 minutes.
The dough will look crumbly—that’s totally normal!
Add Cold Water
Turn mixer to low speed and slowly add cold water.
Mix until the dough absorbs all the water and comes together.
Add Chocolate Chips
Stir in the chocolate chips!
Tip: If using a hand mixer, we recommend folding them in by hand to avoid flying chips.
Step 2: Form Your Cookies
Shape the Dough
Scoop ping pong ball-sized portions of dough and roll into balls.
These cookies will spread, but not on their own—rolling is key!
Flatten Gently
Place dough balls on a parchment-lined cookie sheet, spaced 3–4 inches apart.
Lightly press the tops to flatten—each dough round should be about 2 inches wide before baking.
Step 3: Bake Your Cookies
Bake
Bake in the center of the oven:
• 12–15 minutes (regular oven)
• 10–12 minutes (convection oven)
Cookies are done when they look set—but they won’t be firm yet.
Cool Completely
Let cookies cool fully before moving them.
We know it’s hard, but warm cookies will fall apart!
