
If rich, decedent, fudgy brownies are your thing, than you’re in luck! Starry Lane Bakery fudge brownies are pretty much the best brownies out there.
They’ve been our top selling pastry for years, and now you can bake them at home, and have ooey, gooey chocolatey brownies whenever you want them! If you look over the needed ingredients, you’ll notice we don’t include the chocolate. Why? Not all of our guests are allergic to the same things, and you don’t all need top ten allergen free chocolate chips. This way you can use your favorite brand of chocolate, and create killer brownies.
Each Fudge Brownie Mix kit comes with enough ingredients to make one 9” x 13” pan of brownies. That’s a lot of brownies!
Pro Tip: Fully baked brownies freeze great! Just slice them up and pop them in the freezer so you can have a brownie whenever you want one.
1 Bag Fudge Brownie Flour Mix
1 Bag of Ground Flaxseed
Step by Step instructions on how to make amazing gluten free/allergen free fudge brownies!
Needed Equipment
Stand Mixer /Hand Mixer (paddle attachment)
Small Sauce Pot
Small Bowl
Fork or Whisk
Flexible Spatula
9x13 Baking Pan
Parchment Paper (optional)
Needed Ingredients
Granulated Sugar (C&H brand)
Light Brown Sugar (C&H brand)
Vanilla Extract
Margarine (Soy Free Earth Balance)
Hot Coffee
Chocolate Chips (Enjoy Life Mini Chips)
Ground Oats, Brown Rice Flour, Tapioca Starch, Cocoa Powder, Baking Powder (corn starch, bicarbonate of soda, sodium aluminium sulfate, monocalcium phosphate), Baking Soda, Salt, Xanthan Gum, Flaxseed
Preheat Your Oven
Traditional oven: 325°F
Convection oven: 300°F
Make Your Flax "Egg"
In a small bowl, combine the provided ground flaxseed with very hot coffee.
Whisk until smooth and set aside to thicken.
Melt Chocolate & Margarine
In a small saucepan, melt your margarine over medium heat.
As soon as it starts to bubble, remove from heat.
Immediately stir in your chocolate chips.
Mix until smooth and glossy—no lumps left!
Combine Wet Ingredients & Sugar
In your mixing bowl, combine:
• The flax/coffee mixture
• The melted chocolate/margarine
• Granulated sugar
• Light brown sugar
Use the paddle attachment on low speed.
Mix for 1–2 minutes, until fully combined.
Add the Flour Mix
Pour in the provided flour blend.
Mix on low speed until no streaks of flour remain.
Pour into Pan
Spread batter into a greased 9x13-inch pan.
Prefer easy cleanup? Line the pan with parchment paper instead.
Note: Parchment makes lifting brownies out super simple, though the edges may be a little softer.
Bake Time
Bake in the center of your preheated oven:
• 1 hour (traditional oven)
• 45 minutes (convection oven)
Cool Completely
Let brownies cool at least 3–4 hours before cutting.
Overnight is even better!
They’ll still taste great if you slice them warm, but they may fall apart a little.
Reminder: These are fudge-style brownies.
A soft, moist center is normal—they’re supposed to be rich and dense, not cakey!
